I have probably had this minor problem since owning the van but have never even noticed!
Basically, when I park up and press the lock button once on my keyfob, it makes the usual door locking sounds, flashes the indicators, and locks the cab and rear doors, BUT IT DOES NOT LOCK THE SLIDING DOOR!
