Has anyone used fluid to free stuck piston rings?

I've got a 1.9Dci engine here with suspected worn or gummed up (stuck) piston rings as the crankcase breather is pumping out pressure/gasses.

Has anyone had any success with the stuff you fill up the cylinders and leave for a day??
