Key fob not working

Hello,
Yesterday I bought a van and stupidly and Got home To find the central locking doesn't work with the key fob. Only the interior button.

Even when unlocking van with key this only unlocks drivers door. When pressing fob button there is no response from indicators or locks.

I have searched the following solutions and all have not worked:

Changing battery in fob

Unplugging van battery for 15 minutes

Reseting

Reprogramming key by having it in ignition and pressing lock unlock...

vivaro 2004 1.9 CDTi - refitting drive shafts

I've just swapped out the gearbox (pig of a job, but anyway) on the Vivaro. I'm putting it all back together and the right side shaft isn't quite slotted all the way in. It is about 5mm further out than it should be, so i can't quite tighten the retaining bracket under the engine. I cannot get it that last little bit. Is there anything that I've forgotten or am missing? Idea's would be appreciated.

Over heating

Hi I have a 2006 1.9 vivaro, I have been told I have 3 leaks in the radiator and when I was stuck in traffic the other day my tempreture went right to the top and a stop and engine light came up, I stopped for an hour and it cooled down and was ok, would it be because of the leaking radiator or is it my fan that's not working not sure, thanks for any advice

Hi folks; I'm Ade & am new to this site. I upgraded my 2007 base model Vivaro for a new shape last Nov. Went for a LWB Sportive 120PS BiTurbo EcoFlex. I love most things about it but do have a few gripes. The main one being the poor fuel economy. Most of my driving is local urban driving & the published figures for this is 42.8mpg, which is much better than my 2007 model, as I averaging around 32mpg. However, although the trip computer usually says I'm averaging around 31mpg, having checked...

Central locking problem!

Hi all I have a 2005 vivaro and I'm having a problem with the central locking it keeps locking and unlocking itself when parked, sometimes it will sit for days just unlocking with the indicators flashing as if I'm unlocking it all the time, I've changed the earth strap from the gearbox to the inner wing but don't know if there's anymore I can check before I send it in to Vauxhall for a £96 diagnostic scan! I've also removed checked and cleaned all the door locking mechanisms on all the doors.

vivaro 2007 pretensioner resistance

my vivaro is showing a fault B0023 - drivers pretensioner resistance high
this is showing the air bag warning light etc
in the past i just moved the wires around under the seat but now that is not the case
i have cut the plug off and solidered the wires together and OP-COM is showing this

Driver Airbag Squib Circuit Resistance 3.6 Ohm
Passenger Airbag Squib Circuit Resistance 14.2 Ohm
Driver Pretensioner Circuit Resistance 2.7 Ohm
Passenger Pretensioner Circuit Resistance 8.3 Ohm

Gear box selector arm

Hi it's me again, I noticed my selector arm on tip off my gear box is loose when I touch it with my finger it wobbles about, should that be tight or is it right to be loose because it moves when changing gear

Mr muscle killed it

I removed glow plugs, filled each cylinder with mr muscle oven cleaner and after a few hours blew it out. Repeated about 6 times.
Rinsed out with water. Blew clean (turned over lots)

All back together - doesn't run..

It will on easy start or wd40 or diesel injector cleaner, but not without them


What could I have done lol is it bye bye van ?

No Windows or Heaters in Movano 2010

Need help please for our work van?!
our van had a failed battery, member of staff jumped it wrong and blew the 225 Amp fuse,
I replaced battery and fuse and everything seems to work apart from heater and electric windows. now this wouldn't be too much of an issue if the windows were up when he broke it!

Any idea what to look for? I checked all fuses and seem to be getting 12 volts everywhere i should be but unable to test at switches.

Hi I wonder if anyone can tell me how i can tell if my Vivaro 6 speed 1.9 cdti 2005 van has a speedo sensor / drive on the gearbox as im not sure where or what im looking for.
Vauxhall said i would have to take the van in for them to tell me but I cant move the van as the gearbox has failed.
Do they vary from year to year or is there a cut of point for a speedo sensor on the gearbox?

Cooling fan not coming on

Hi all I just bought my vivaro 2005 model 18 diesel
I have taken it back to the car sales to get them to rectify the over heating
With engine idling when the temp creeps over 90 degrees after about 6 mins the fan does not come on
But before I took it back I got my vehicle electrician to check it for me
He come to the conclusion that it as the fan it self faulty or the relay
Are these parts expensive
Or can anyone give me ideas

How to clean non removable rubber flooring?

Hello guys,
I have a Vivaro with really dirty rubber flooring.
Since most of the floor is non removable, I can't get it properly clean.
The only removable mat is under the driver seat, and this I can pressure wash, but what about the rest?

bugger wont start

Hi all i have a 2000 Movano which won't start the central locking has not been working for a while when I put the key in the immobiliser light flashes like mad. The van won't start the pushing the key button as i turn the key thing worked for a while but is now not playing, the AA guy plugged his box of tricks on and it gave a "transponder 5" error. I tried an override chip to no success and I've had a mechanic out who assured me a new key would solve the problem but could not get his...

Cause of stuck injectors

I've heard a lot about this problem regarding stuck and rusted injectors.The route cause is water coming from the front scuttle landing panel. This design fault is putting water onto the air box and seeping into the head as far as I can see.Is there any modifications to make this water trap flow in another direction. I've thought about putting something over the plastic air box.
This is to deflect the water away .

So every time you use your wipers you dump water on your cylinder head rust...

hey guys brand new on here and brand new to Vauxhall vans!

Basically I've bought a 2004 1.9dti 2700 sub vivaro as a non driver... the chap I bought it from said the flywheel had failed but what's confusing me is the fact you can start the van and put it in any gear without the clutch and it won't budge no nasty noise or anything and definatly no dual mass rattle ! Its not the linkages and I've put it in gear on the box itself and I can't see it being the clutch as he said he replaced it 3...

Hey guys,

Every month or so Ill take the air box off my vivaro and WD40 all the injectors ( JUST INCASE ) as we know they are buggers for getting stuck in, so yesterday i decided to take a few pictures as I went along so that anyone who visits the site can see clearly bits that generally pop up causing problem so here goes.

hi folks well my 57 plate 2.0 vivaro has been losing power and missing and cutting out I have traced the problem to no four injector . I have done all the checking and tracing and my code reader is giving me the
Po204 and po304 so going to get it replaced next week.the van is in good nick just passed an mot so I might bite the bullet and get all four done as it's cheaper in the long run knowing my luck if I just get the one done in a few months another one will decide to play up.

Solar Powered Battery Top-Up via Cigarette Socket?

Just bought a 2009 Primastar and would like to keep the battery topped up when not in use, so can this be done using a simple dash mounted plug-in solar panel to the cigarette lighter socket, or does this lighter circuit get disconnected when the ignition is off so I have to connect directly to the battery?

Can someone tell me which is injector 3 when looking at them.is it number 3 counting from left to right or is it counting a different way on these engines please
