I have a 55 plate 1.9 sportive it goes fine as long as I'm accerlerating or off the throttle but if I try to keep a constant speed it gets a strange rattle that I can only describe as a pinking sound the van loses power and smokes but as soon as I accelerate again its fine?
It starts fine and ticks over perfect. I cleaned the MAF and EGR out no change, anyone got any ideas? Thanks in advance

Vivaro engine moved backwards

So someone I know has a vivaro for sale but it's not running I think it's an 07 plate, he says whilst unloading a load (which was attached to a winch in the back) the load dropped of the ramp on the back and made the van move backwards whilst it was in gear as the handbrake wasn't working therefore it's rotated the engine backwards? Has anyone ever heard of this happening or what sort of damage it could have done to the engine and why it now won't run? I've never heard of an engine rotating...

Vivaro 2016 Eco Fuel Gauge

I've just purchased a 2016 pre-reg vivaro sportive. Brand new, 2.1 miles on the clock on day of purchase. Having driven modern vauxhalls I was expecting the coloured lights on the dashboard to light up yellow/blue/green depending on how economically I drive. The manual seems to confirm that this should happen, and yet nothing.

It's no big deal whether or not it works but I'm wondering whether this is indicative of a fault, or whether there's a setting to enable it?

I don't have the touch...

Hi guys looking for some advice.

I have a 2003 Nissan primastar. It has had a new engine. Anyways it has had a very small oil leak for a number of years (looking at past MOT ) , I don't know where from. The radiator is also leaching and could do with being replaced.

Anyways I have an odd problem. It starts and drives perfectly, however if I leave it more than 2/3 weeks when I Start and go to accelerate above say 5mph for the first 60 seconds the van splutters loses power and thick white...

Hello all, I've just had a new gearbox put into my Renault traffic 57 plate 2ltr. Everything went well until we started the engine. It makes a loud whining noise which gets progressively quieter as the engine gets warm. The noise is the same with the clutch up or down. I have recorded the noise but I don't know how to get it from my phone to the forum. If anyone can be bothered to look on YouTube under the heading, traffic van whining noise. The noise that van makes is exactly the same as...

Service Reset Spanner refuses to cancel

Hi all

I am struggling to get rid of the service reset spanner and mileage warning from my 07 2.5 cdti Vivaro.

I employed the usual technique, throttle depressed, ignition to on, pump brake 3 times, and the spanner began to flash, but then did not go out or reset, so ignition off, release throttle. Now the spanner flashes each time i turn on, the mileage countdown remains, currently at 250 miles, and then the spanner goes to permanently lit next to the odometer readout until turning off....

Vivaro 1.9 non start after noise from engine

Vauxhall vivaro 1.9 driving tonight and had loud noise start coming from engine then the electronics warning symbol light came on.
The one with the square and zig zags going though it with the coil below it.
After switching engine off and trying to restart it won't fire.
I tried easy start and it tried to fire but wouldn't start.
Fault code is camshaft sensor that comes back after resting with opcom but it is not present.
Would a camshaft sensor cause the noise and the failure to start?...

Hi glad to be on this forum again with a vauxhall. I have a problem with the Movano. It runs rough on idle and cuts out. It runs fine when on the move and plenty of power. I have opcom and get two fault codes P0670 - Glow Plug Module Control Circuit. Also I have P0191 low fuel pressure. I have changed the glow plug relay and still get the fault code and tried to clear it with opcom. Changed the fuel filter and both filter seals. Could any body please advise me what to do next
Many Thanks

Vivaro Front Fogs

Hi everyone

First post here so hello

I have a base model 59 plate Vivaro SWB 2700 and I'm after fitting some front fogs.

I have looked at older threads and from what I can gather, the wiring should be there already, just needs a replacement indicator stalk for the fogs and a relay.

Has anyone any idea where Vauxhall have tied the wiring up behind the bumper as I have had a look and can't find it.

Thanks in advance

Hi, got an engine management light on my 2.0 2007 vivaro. This is following a gearbox out and in job. ran a few times then the fault came up. Fault code is P0110. Its not got same symptoms as when MAf failed, no noticeable loss of power. Is there another temp sensor? fault reader says Intake air temperature sensor 1 circuit.

Thanks

I'm going to attempt to pull a bulk bag of slate about 30 yards. The bag weighs about 900kg but I'll probably halve it by hand so 450kg. I've got a suitable tow strap but is there anywhere on the vivaro 2003 that I can fit the strap. Thanks

Hello,

i recently bought a movano mwb 03 with 71000 miles, in the 3 months of owning it ive had to put a new clutch, alternator and done the cambelt. and now the immobilizer and ac are faulty.

When driving it operates just below half way on the temp gauge and moves up to half way when its going up step roads, but seems to go just above half way when idling is this an issue or is it just a movano quirk?

Boost Pressure issues

Hi all,
I have recently bought a 2006 1.9 CDTi Vivaro. The glow plug light was constantly illuminated on purchase and has been ever since. She doesn't seem to have the power she should; slow to build up speed. I cleaned the egr valve which made a slight difference but only minimal. The opcom says....

P0105 -
P1635 -
A glow plug general error & boost pressure sensor low input.
The glow plug one clears and returns on start up but the boost sensor fault is permanent and won't clear at all....

Lifespan of MAF sensor

Hi everyone,
This is my first post on here :)

I'm having a few issues with my 2006 plate 1.9 Vivaro with power loss (there's a surprise!) and the coil light coming on.
I've had the van nearly 3 years, the MAF sensor was replaced about 2.5 years ago with a bosch one- it went very suddenly with no warning, just massive power loss.

Generally runs fine (turbo boost sensor was replaced back in March) but out of the blue I was on the motorway accelerating up an incline when the coil light...

Best panel van for £1500-3000

I need to get myself a van asap and reliability (well, as much as I can get in the price range) is important. I've set a budget of £1,500 to £3,000 and will step up to £3,500 for the right van. There would have to be very significant additional value to bump up to £4,000 but it's not outwith the realms of possibility.

I install wood burning stoves and I need something with a long MOT that will last me at least a year. At that point I'll look seriously at leasing something new and will be...
