2005 Movano Van - Intermittent wiper speed not working

Just wondering if anyone can help with this .
I recently bought a 2.5 litre Vauxhall Movano LWB van on an '05 reg.
The windscreen wipers do not work on the intermittent wiper speed. When I put them on slow full speed and then put them onto the intermittent setting the wipers just immediately stop - they do not park properly but just stop in the middle of the screen. When I then put the wipers into the off position from the intermittent position they then park correctly ???
I think that...

Hi im having issues with air in the fuel line, the van wouldnt start and we found the hand primer to be faulty so changed that and got the van to start, and run but still cuts out everynow and again and have to pump the primer to get it started. It seems to still be drawing in air from somewhere. Anyone else had the same and managed to cure the issue??

Hi
I have just bought a 2007 2.0CDTI yesterday that seemed a great bargain with only 63,000 miles but I think I've bought a lemon :(
I believe it to be an ex AA van and i'll be honest I know nothing about the working of a van at all.
It all seemed great and drove very well and everything seemed to work that was on the check list I downloaded.
we went on a good 40 minutes test drive stopping to tax it and it started without any problem.

handed over the money and off I went feeling very...

testing the low pressure pump in the tank

Hi,

my van decided to cut out on the way home from work. i have had a quick look here at possible faults and am going down fuel start with. the van turns over, but it seams to turn over either very fast or very easy, as if there is no compression or no fuel.

i have taken the feed pipe from the tank to the filter off and when the ignition is put on it only makes a small squirt of fuel. shouldnt this be squirting out non stop for 10 seconds or so?

i have dropped the tank to have a look in...

Poor warm starting

My 2002 Trafic has been very sluggish to fire up when the engine is warm recently, and cold starting performance now seems to be deteriorating too. Any thoughts on what could be the problem? It turns over strongly but can sometimes take 10+ seconds to fire, if it fires at all. No noticeable drop in the speed the starter turns over the engine, even after a few attempts, which suggests to me that it's not the battery. It seems worst when the engine is hot and it's started soon after stopping,...

Vivaro brake pad change

Hi
I have just changed the front pads in my 62 plate Vivaro, all went well until I noticed two yellow plastic clips ???
when I drove the van away , there wasn't much brake pedal , so I pumped it up , keeping my foot on the pedal it slowly went to the floor ..
I am assuming that the yellow bits of plastic have maybe something to do with the caliper poving other than that I am lost..
Anyone have any ideas ??? cheers

Tuning Box

Just installed a new MAF (genuine) and a tuning box and all I can say is what a difference !!
Although time to time I get the EML on the dash for a few seconds then goes out, then comes on, then out again. Ive noticed it comes on when accelerating and assume this has something to do with the tuning box.
Any Ideas anyone ?

So bought a 2011 Renault traffic for a little day van project.
My initial plan was to retrofit parking sensors but when looking to buy them on ebay I found this
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Vivaro-Re...666?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item43d4830ef2
Of course without thinking or researching I clicked buy it now and the camera arrives Monday, has anyone any experience of fitting a reverse camera or fitted this actual kit?

If not I plan to put up some...

I need to replace one of the rear parking sensors on my 09 Vivaro Sportive. Does anyone know if I have to buy one from Vauxhall or can I simply buy a standard circular sensor replacement on line?

Hi all. I've just bought my first van, it's a 2002 1.9 di vivaro. The van itself is in lovely condition considering it's done 148k and as I only paid £1200 for it I can't complain.

The problem is it has little power at low revs when cold. It almost feels like the turbo isn't connected but I can hear that it's spinning up fine. I've changed the maf sensor and bypassed the egr but it hasn't really improved.
Has anyone got an idea of what could be the problem because although it's still...

Hi guys,

On Thursday on the way home my van was in 2nd and struggled climbing a hill. I dropped it into 1st and got one hell of a bang! Glow plug light comes on. Van carried on pulling no probs but this noise was horrible. Straight after the bang, it was a fast loud rubbing noise. Increased in tone when climbing the hill and Chang into 2nd. Got to the top of the hill and if sounds horrible. Ticking over fine but with a loud fast rubble.

I managed to get it home (2miles) with this noise...

I'm replacing my crankshaft oil seal in the next few weeks as its leaking quite bad now. In the process Ill be changing my clutch and slave cylinder as the clutch pedal drops a little over night.
Is there anything else I should check or replace whilst job is in process ?
I don't want to change parts the put it back together then to realise I should have changed this bearing or that seal if you know what I mean.
I like to have all the bits at hand before I start anything and if there not...

Hi all

as i've been declared a Wheel Whoar by most other forums i'm active on, it seems fitting that as a Vauxhall Vivaro and Movano owner, i should do some experimenting with Alloy Wheel options, and display my findings as i go, selling each set as i go to fund the next experiment.

as some of you will have known, i've already done a number of wheel sizes and styles, including 16" so that you can just fit your original van tyres, and 18" for those who would like a more radical rubber...

Hi everyone!!!

Hope you're all having a good day :)

I have a 52 Reg LWB Movano, recently purchased, with a broken rear light cluster...

I'd like to know, please, if anyone knows whether the Post 2003 Facelift Rear clusters would fit, or has experience of fitting them...

I live in a rural area with very few street lights, and I do actually need the reversing lights to see where I am going, and not just to indicate that I am reversing; and I've noticed that the facelift clusters have a...
