hi all. this is the first time i have used the forum having only just discovered it online. my problem is when i pull off in 1st gear the revs dont drop straight away when i take my foot off the accelerator to change gear. on all the other gears the revs drop normally. i am worried this will lead to the clutch burning out prematurely. has anyone out there had similar problems and know how to fix it? many thanks.

Hi everyone I'm a newbie to campervans. I have done various cars in the past though! I'm wanting to know what others think of my idea for the layout in my 2013 lwb vivaro.
It will consist of two seat modules and two table modules, which along with the front seats swivelled back will make two beds. I'm planning on fitting some support frames in between to make a 3rd bed frame as shown below.

Opcom reading
Evening chaps,
I've taken your advice and bought an opcom gizmo. When I first plugged it in it said the van had 9 fault codes but underneath it said fault code p1635 present (glow device circuit general error) can anyone point me in the right direction because I have no idea about these vans lol.
Also When looking at live data it showed me loads of numbers ie boost pressure etc, can anyone post the figures from a good running so I can compare.
It would be greatly appreciated.

Vivaro non responsive to throttle.
I have a 2006 2900 1.9 DTI which is giving me real problems. Initially it developed a problem starting from cold and lack of power until it warmed up. The best way I could describe it is that it was like trying to start and run a petrol engine without the choke. A replacement MAF seemed to solve the problem as now it starts first time every time.
Now it is totally unresponsive to the throttle and is idleing at a higher speed, about 1400 RPM. I've tried a replacement throttle...

Hankook Tyres
So guys, I'm running standard steel rims with Hankook RA28 tyres (205 65 16c). Great tyres but not held upto expectations on the mileage against wear on the fronts. I just want to see what makes everyone else is running and your comments on them before I change to a new set.

Hi Guys,
I'm getting very obsessed and neurotic regarding these extra seats I want fitted in the back of my panel van.
I've sold on the genuine crew cab set cos it meant either buying more parts or welding box section to the C pillars with captive nuts in and I don't want to have to do that.
So... I'm stuck. I need 3 seats in the back of the van ASAP. I'd prefer 3 seats with seatbelts already fitted so I don't have to plate and weld for seat belt mounts in the C pillars. Folding /...

just changed my vivaro gearbox oil had a job to find correct oil finally found some , drianed out old oil looked liked chip oil bright yellow stunk horrible put new oil in wow what a difference, smoother better, gear change is this oil what causes gearbox failures, dont know what it was didnt even feel very oily, ex bt van

12 Plate Vivaro MInibus, whining, gearbox or wheel bearing
12 plate cdti ecoflex Vivaro, 74000 miles, the van is pulling to the left, definite wheel noise, I can hear it at slow speeds, brakes are good, tyre pressure is good, no uneven tyre wear I can see, when I get to around 50 mph I can hear a whining noise but only in 5th and 6th gear? This may be unrelated to the pulling to the left but im hoping its wheel bearing noise and not the gearbox, I know vivaro gearboxes are prone to problems but does this year have the same gearbox as older models?...

Intermitant power loss
Hi my 05 1.9dti seems to have developed an intermitent power loss today, dunno if it could have anything to do with the pouring rain i drove home in as the van had been fine all day until the rain started.
The van pulls fine up until 2100rpm when it seems like the turbo just cuts out but then sometimes it kicks back in, and will keep pulling as normal?

Vivaro 2 litre lost 2nd 4th and 6th gears
In my 2008 vivaro I can only select 1 ,3 and fifth gears, the gearstick won't move into the position to select . It had a new linkage about a year ago , going to take it to garage tomorrow if I can't sort it. Any ideas?

im gonna attempt to change my glow plugs on my 2002 1.9 vivaro tomorrow. Just wondering if anyone's got any tips or a guide on how to get them out.
I've heard there prone to snapping so I'm not looking forward to doing it but I can't take anymore of this limp mode stuff lol, I'm just praying they don't play hard ball.

Movano cutting out
Hi Guys.
Got a problem with my 56 plate Movano MWB.
It`s got a little problem with cutting out when on the move. It`s intermittent and only seems to happen when under load or if I put my down , it will cut out , red warning light then comes on but if I turn off the ignition then turn it back on all is well ( which is great at low speed but not when your travelling on duel carriage ways )
I`ve been told it is probably due to a faulty fuel rail.
Has anyone else had this problem ?

Hi all, I'm new here but have dipped in and out reading posts for a few months now!
I have a primastar 2.0 lwb on a 07 and done 39k.
Although I have been thinking about selling and getting a transit custom I have now pretty much decided to stick with!
I'm thinking of getting a trailer 750kg with payload of 2000kg. I know I will not be able to fill it but just wanted to hear if people tow with their vans and how the vans handle it?

vivaro cutting out
ive got yet another problem with my van. went to drive to london the other day and the van cut out with the stop light and the red flashing stop engine. i carried on and drove all the way to london this is from hertfordshire with no problems. Got to central london and she cut out 3 times in about 15 minutes so got to my job and googled the handbookkk which said this symbol relates to the temperature. So i checked the header tank which was just below min and filled it up. Left my job...

Hi lads I'm getting a 2003 2500 movano in 2 weeks what radio comes with it? My m8s selling the van he's away on hols etc I got the chance of getting a radio with bluetooth mp3 etc brand new in box 30 quid I was wondering if I could swap units etc?
