DRL's which ones etc

Anyone fitted DRL's and got any pics, and how you wired them.

Ive previously wired them through the ignition when i had a merc vito, presume this would be the best way so that they are on when the engine is running.

Be interested to see any pics of those already fitted

Drivers side driveshaft removal

Hi, Im in the process of changing the clutch on my vivaro. In under an hour I had the van jacked up wheels off, ball joints removed and passenger side driveshaft removed, however, I've spent a further 3 hours trying to get the drivers side off. I removed the 2 bolts midway down the shaft as per the Haynes manual but there's still no movement, the inner end won't come out of the transmission.

Am I missing something here? Should it just pull out?

Hi, I'm trying to save a few hundred quid by changing the clutch my self, my van isn't used for work so theres no rush to get it back on the road.

So far I've got all the suspension parts out of the way, gearbox drained, driveshafts removed, intercooler pipes removed and reverse light wire out of the way and wiring harness/bracket removed, following the haynes manual the next step is to remove the clutch pressure pipe, the manual says something along the lines of "prise out the clip and the...

Went to kent on Saturday from Essex and van ran fine all the down and whilst we were there. Stopped to drop something off in Tenterden and left the van running for 5 minutes. When I got back in made a quick phone call and the van stopped and wouldn't start. Called out breakdown service who thought it was air locked so bled at filter housing and the put easy start in intercooler pipe and it started straight away. Drove normally all the way to Dartford until we got stuck in traffic and after...

Vivaro/Trafic Starter problems

Hi hoping one of you guys could steer me in the right direction before I remove the front.
I have a 2.0 DCI on a 57 plate.
Couple of weeks back I would get the odd click when trying to start it as if the starter was stuck.

Now the starter motor will only turn over when the van is cold, after 10 miles it will just click (40 odd times) needing a push start, but if left for a good few hours it will turn over great, and I can not get it to just click even trying 10 plus times it starts on the...

Hi guys, I'm new on here, I'd appreciate some advice.
I've just replaced my clutch and now the van won't start. Turns over no problem but will just not fire. Does the immobiliser need reset after the battery is disconnected?

Van is a 1.9cdti 54 plate.

Help needed vivaro clocks/speedo replaced now no mileage showing

Hi and thanks for looking i recently purchased second hand clocks/speedo cluster when installed mileage was showing 70odd thou miles onit them now mileage has disapeard and only showing trip counter

Its as iff its reset the mileage and showing nothing now

Any help would be much appreciated ..

Do i need to reprograme them so they work in my van as there out another van?

clock and current trip mileage resets every time i turn it off & van cuts out when turning right

New to the forums but unfortunately my first post is an ask. I have a 2002/03 2.2 movano. The clock and current trip mileage resets every time i turn it off. Anyone know which fuse could sort this?

Second question is after a motorway journey, if i do a right turn the van cuts out. Will restart on the key (cant bump it while its still moving) but this only happens when turning right.

No codes listed for it

In case this helps someone...

Symptoms: as above.

An engine will always have a sweet spot but mine was shrinking & power was down overall. Not very noticeable around town in the first 3 gears but out on A-roads & M-ways I had to keep it spinning at over 2400rpm for decent performance (to respond to hills or manage overtakes) & the power would drop away massively past 3000rpm so plenty of gear-changing required on big roads even with an empty van. Probably been getting slowly worse...

Hello can anyone help?
i have a vivaro 2005 with a few problems.
the abs light is on, and i have no speedo.
I've checked the 5 amp fuse on the passenger side, also changed the abs sensor on the passenger sensor form the front nearside.
I'm at a bit off a loss of what to do, there appears to be no communication from the abs unit from a diagnostic tool.
Also sometimes has no power from 1800-2000 rpm, then it kicks in, said egr fault , but checked ok.
Do i have the dreaded wiring issues?

I got a wire (the non power ones) from the alternator cut off

I know they are not the mains, but for some sensor of some how

got the picture with me, it's the green wire, the pink one is the only one left

Clutch pedal spring

Just noticed a cluncking noise when i was changing gears on my way home.

Had a nosey and it looks like a plastic clip holding the clutch pedal spring has broken and its moving all about tue place.

Is the van still drivable ? Or should it be taken in straight away.

Any heads up on whats needed new pedal kit perhaps ?

Erratic Steering on Vivaro

I have a 2004 Vivaro with steering that seems to have a mind of its own. When driving it will seem ok then will lurch left or right depending on the road / corner.
The van was lowered by the previous owner.
I have checked the wishbones and other suspension components and they all seem tight with no play.
I had the tracking done and this didn't improve it.
Would be grateful if anyone had any ideas of what I could check next or if anyone has had similar problems

Movano cabin fan works only on max blast

Bought a Movano 2.5 2007 model and the cabin fan did not work. change the resistor and still it did not work. ended up replacing the fan and now it only works on max speed. Any ideas?

Vivaro light faults

Hi have just had a flat battery on my 2012 vivaro managed to jump off but engine would not start when turning over ,found 2 fuses blown,replace and engine fires up but side lights and dash illumination are out.,checked fuses under coolant resavoir and in cab (left side dash) both visually and with meter and all ok.Is there a relay controlling these circuits or a control unit?
