Just found this forum after trying to ident my engine.
The big ends went yesterday so am trying to source a replacement. It's a 2007 1.9l but how do I tell which engine it is?
Have seen on eBay a few listings offering fully fitted engines from £1000 up.
Can anyone recommend any of the recon people?

Cheers in advance

Vivaro Finally Fixed

Hi, all. I generally don't have much to contribute regarding facts but I want to share this one.
I have had problems with my 1.9 vivaro for a couple of years now. It starts first time every time and has never let me down but...... once started there is no throttle response for around 10 - 15 seconds. As time has gone by the problem has evolved into engine revs dropping to and almost stall, only on start up, after around 5 second the revs pick up to about 1000, still no throttle for about...

Hi Everybody, I am new to this forum. I am in need of some advise please.

I have a 2009 Vivaro 2.0 Over the last few months it has started to miss fire.
On start up in the morning it runs and drives fine, then after around half hour it start to miss fire, but not all the time. If I leave the van for about an hour or two, when I drive off it's fine again and again half an hour into my journey it starts again. I have had my local garage look at it and they cannot find anything, they advise me to...

Hi, can anyone help. Not long owned my 2.5 movano tdi 52 model. Left it for about two weeks and now will not start. The battery was flat so charged it up but just turns over no sign of starting. There is a clear hose into the fuel filter where i can see air bubbles. I assume i have got air in the system. There is no priming bulb so how do i bleed the system? Or do i have another fault somewhere causing this?

Cheers

Painting Mirrors

Going to be sanding down my mirrors and get them colour coded, but the mirror glass, are they usually easily to pop in and out without smashing any clips like on some cars? or is it pretty sturdy behind there? Would rather take the glass out to spray them.

Also what you all think will look better, Painting just the oblong shapes mirror plastic, or the arms too? Im thinking just the mirror plastic itself to give a bit of contrast.

Loss of clutch pressure, but I think I know what's up...

Hi Guys,

The 2002 1.9DTi Vivaro has lost all its clutch pressure again. I've had a look on the forum to see the best way to bleed the clutch and it seems that a reverse bleed is the way forward so I'm going to buy one of those pressurised bleeders. It'll come in handy with my 1971 Beetle I'm sure...!

When looking for the bottom most bleed nipple (which actually had me confused for a while as it looks like a car tyre valve dust cap...!) I noticed that where the solid line disappears into...

Im not a fan of jump starting from my own vehicle to another vehicle, heard horror stories of this, especially on Renaults such as the scenic and the meganes etc. Although mines the Nissan engine, its still a Rebadged Renault. Blowing ecu's, fuses etc on the renaults.

I usually use a Heavy Duty Jump Start Battery Pack, but unfortunately the guage has broken on it, so is being repaired under warranty, but I am gonna need to Jump start a few cars, where the owners have cranked until the battery...

I have a 2010 vivaro with 32000 miles and it appears that my gearbox is vibrating in 6 th gear. Also developed a noise in 6th gear. It has had the gearbox oil changed at 20000 and 30000. I am utterly disappointed with the thought of needing a gearbox at such a low millage well cared for van. Does anybody have any suggestions of my next move. Regards Bob

Hi, just brought a vivaro and the clock and mileometer keep on resetting to zero. The stereo had also packed up but it's lights were still illuminated. We disconnected the stereo thinking that was throwing a fault to the clock but 24 hrs later it has reset again. Any ideas?

2.0CDTi Engine stutter/hesitation

First post guys, so please be gentle :p

I've tried the search function, and although there seems to be plenty of similar threads, no-one can give a definitive answer :(

So, the infamous Vivaro engine problem!
Its an 09 2.0CDTi 115ps, that i've had since 63k. Its now on 83k, and has never caused me any problems. But its now started to develop what i can only call a stutter, between 2.5-3k rpm.
It doesnt happen when cold - It still pulls it like a train. But once fully warm (25 miles or so)...

Remote start?

Just pissing around really but it would be nice to start her up from the comfort of my kitchen now it's getting colder.

Anyone tried it? I'd have to leave the immobiliser chip from the spare key near the ignition to override that I suppose. Probably too much bother but would good to know if it's possible in case I ever have any spare time lol
