need to change gearbox oil on my 1.9 2003 vivaro but can't find any codes to identify which box is fitted
is there any visual ways of telling.

Hi all,

I have a 64 plate Vivaro van that is being converted into a crew cab. It has a Media Nav head.

I would like to put some speakers into the back, but the rear speaker plug seems to be disabled and although the cables also seem to be fitted, can't find out where they go to.

It looks like there is some way of enabling the output via a firmware route, possibly.

Has anyone else done this already?

Just been out to the van and unlocked it opened up the drivers side sliding door and the van has then locked itself.

As far as I know they will re lock if a door isn't opened after being unlocked so where should I be looking here for a fault.

The interior light comes on and the door open light on the dash comes on and goes off as normal when opening and closing the door so what do I need to look at. What would stop this door from registering as being opened.

hello, my rear door handle seemed to snap internally last week, I bought a new handle and fitted it, however it does not open from outside, it does have a spring as if it will open but nothing ! I can open it from inside and took a closer look as to what moves etc, when I pull from inside a certain bar / wire moves, from outside that bar doesn't hence not opening, but I cannot seem to find a peace or location to connect the two bars ( the handle is connected as per the new handle to a bar,...

Need some help here as I'm getting to the end of my tether. Next doors Trafic won't start and I agreed to have a look. Immobiliser light stays lit constantly, STOP light stays on, and no glow plug light. I've scanned it with Delphi, and it says 040 CAN-No comms with ECM. Imobiliser recognises the key. It spins over on the starter perfectly, but no fire. I've read and seen many faults with the fusebox- have stripped the loom back and checked in there for broken wires, checked the blue plug-...

two days ago i noticed a hissing sound only when acelerating and when revs are above 2000 revs it also looses some power... when parked up and i rev it there is no hissing.. there are no lights on ,,, and no fault showing when i plug the autel in,,,,,,, i have tride the autel on live info driven so as to trigger the fault but it records nothing........its a loud hissing or air rushing.... with care full driving and exceleration its fine any one know????????

Had van remaped 115 2 weeks ago by quantum tuning via riverside garage in Cornwall .
Just travelled from Cornwall to Scotland
With van fully loaded and 1600 kg
Caravan on the back
Getting 28mpg
Found that I'm not going through the gears as much
Very happy

Newbie. Hello everyone! Having this j7 model 1.9Cdti can not start. I am thinking the lift pump from tank is not working or low fuel pressure. Tried to read codes none found. Any help is appreciated.

Hi everyone.

I'm looking to get a reconditioned engine fitted to my 07 vivaro by my local garage who have suggested buying the engine from motor hog.
Anyone had any good/bad experiences from motor hog? I've seen the reviews for their scrap/second hand car sales and they are atrocious but I trust my mechanic and he has recommended them for a recon engine.

I want to add an additional cigarette lighter power socket in the rear of my 2011 vivaro.
An autospark told me that there would be permanent power to the plug in the pillar beside the right hand rear door (picture below), and I could just connect to this. However there is no power going to it with ignition on or off, even with engine running. I was thinking there may be an additional fuse required in the fuse board to activate the power to this plug. Does anybody know if this is the case, or...

Hi All,
The right (drivers) side 'outer drive shaft gaiter' on my 2011 2.0 Vivaro has failed, just leaking gear oil on to the inside of the wheel..
It looks like a straightforward replacement (assuming i can get the hub nut off), does anyone have any experience of this? I'm a reasonable spannerist (albeit on bikes mostly) but any assistance gratefully received..

hi folks can any one recommend a good fault code reader for a 2007 Vauxhall vivaro 2.0 cdti as there are a lot of fault code readers on the market but not many the work on the vivaro. I am having running problems whilst driving it's like the van is missing and the red lights come on and there seems like a lack of power .

Hi,

I wonder if anyone can help, I have taken off the EGR valve to clean it and found that it wasn't that dirty, not as dirty as some people have described theirs as. On further investigation i found what the manual refers to as the EGR bypass valve, seized.
This valve sits within the cast iron part of the EGR cooler below the inlet manifold and is operated by a vacuum actuator mounted to the cast iron part of the cooler.
The valve itself was seized (ive managed to free it slightly) but...

Hi All

So I am looking to buy a MK1 Vivaro to convert to a camper. I had seen somewhere that the 2.0 Diesel engine version was a much better choice as the 1.9 was not man enough, is this correct.

Any advise on what to look out for when buying 1 of these and what sort of milage are they good for if looked after.

OK so last weekend I pick a really lightly damaged 1.6 LWB Sportive. And it's awesome

However, I need the following parts/info:

Front Bumper -does the Traffic bumper fit?
LH front Wing -as above? Vauxhall want £160.

The lower side body mouldings (colour coded) seem to be worth a small fortune -been quoted £34 for the small one under the fuel flap, and £69 for the one just in front of the drivers side rear wheel.

Any help appreciated.

Evening guys,
I've seen a few astra sport vans recently that have been modified, ie: lowered, alloys, new grilles etc. And they look proper tasty.

Is there anything available for the vivaro along these lines?
Grilles?
Headlight upgrades? Hids? Or black surrounds?
Brakes? They have discs all round, can you get bigger or better pads etc?

I just want it to stand out a bit from the growing masses that seem to be on the road.

Anyone have pics of their vivaros with a few mods?
